Why Tisser Tech India?
The easiest way to determine what to look for in an SEO firm, is to first understand what not to look for. If someone has sent you an email promising to help improve your search position, you can generally ignore it as junk mail and cross that firm off your list. Most of the SEO firms that try to get your attention via email, are using a spam tool that grabs domain names and email addresses and then sends a dynamically created email to your inbox. These SEO’s have never looked at your website, they just want to get your attention and make you think that you need their help. Often, they say that you aren’t ranking for an obscure search term that either isn’t relevant to you site at all, or won’t drive traffic to your site even if you do rank number 1. Matt Cutts, the head of the Google Spam Team, gets these emails all the time! Yes it’s true, SEO’s are emailing the head of Google’s Spam Team telling him that they can help him rank in Google.

Google, Alexa ranking for non techies
Since the time I have started spending more time on the internet, I have wondered how can one determine which site is more popular, which site gets more visitors, which page has more chances of popping up in a Google Search? Well two of the most trusted means of finding out the importance of a site these days are Google PageRank and Alexa Ranking. So if you are planning to planning to put and advertisement on a website, or buying a site or well just researching a site, there are probably the two ranking you would want to look out for.
Let’s start with Google Page Rank, PageRank is a link analysis algorithm, named after Larry Page, used by the Google Internet search engine that assigns a numerical weighting to each and every page of the website. The numbers are assigned for 0-10, 0 meaning the page is not ranked by Google, 10 meaning it has the highest rank. The higher the rank, the more important the page is, but the rank of the page doesn’t reflect in anyway the number of visitors it may be receiving. It’s just a measure of how important the page is to Google and lot of other search engines now.
Coming to what is a “Link Analysis Algorithm”, to put it in the simplest way, Google Page rank for a page is calculated by checking how many other sites refer to the page, in other words have link to the page from their pages. Also, taken into account is how important are the pages which are referring to this page, or what’s their own page rank. Thus forming a circle, this is just a gist of the algorithm, the actual algorithm being more complex and Google enjoys a patent on it, actually has sole rights to the patent.
According to Google,
PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves “important” weigh more heavily and help to make other pages “important”.
Now to Alexa Ranking, to put it in the simplest was Alexa Ranking is a measure of how many visitors are coming to a site. Ratings are based on a level from 1 to 4,000,000 and it goes beyond 4,000,000 sometimes. Alexa is opposite to Google PageRank, the LOWER your rating on Alexa the more visitors your site is getting. 4,000,000 is for new sites mostly, or sites with no traffic basically, whereas 1 is the site with the most traffic. So if you have a rating of say 300,000, you are getting about 14x the amount of traffic a 4,000,000 site gets.
Alexa’s traffic rankings are based on the usage patterns of Alexa Toolbar users and data collected from other diverse sources over a rolling 3 month period. A site’s ranking is based on a combined measure of reach and pageviews. Reach is determined by the number of unique Alexa users who visit a site on a given day. Unlike Google’s page rank, Alexa’s traffic rankings are for top level domains only (e.g. domain.com). Rankings are not given for subdomians.
Google PageRank and Alexa Ranking are quiet different, one is a measure of importance of the page to Google, the other is a measure of traffic to the site. You can have a site with a page rank of 7 but very few visitors hypothetically. But in a way both are interrelated, higher pagerank means more chances of popping up in a search result and the a page comes up in search results the more traffic it can get. So get going check the Google Page rank and Alexa ranking for your site, there are several sites on the offering the service, Google them.

Basics of Search Engine Marketing
Search engine marketing is a kind of Internet marketing that can help to drive more traffic to your website. It encompasses a wide range of strategies like search engine optimization, email advertising, pay per click advertising, social media optimization, blogging, brand building and context-based advertising. These strategies have to be used in conjunction with one another to get the best results.
Search engine optimization is the strategy of getting your website displayed in the first few pages of search engine results for any entered word or phrase that is relevant to your business. Email marketing is the process of sending advertisements to potential customers so that they can come to your website, if they are interested in your product or service. In pay per click advertising, you can display your ad in other websites and pay the owner of these websites when your link is clicked. To bring targeted audience to your website, you can use context-based advertising. You can display your ad in websites that are related to your product and so there is a higher possibility for interested people to come to your website.
Before you begin the use of search engine marketing, you should have a game plan. The products or services that you want to sell, the amount of money you want to spend on advertising and the estimated revenue you would like to generate should be determined. This will help you to decide what tools and strategies should be used and in what proportions.
While using search engine marketing techniques, you should also have some kind of statistics or analytics that will help you to know how many people have visited and what pages they have browsed. When you have this kind of statistics, it will be easy for you to know what interests your potential customers and based on this, you can make improvements.
When you see a combination of these strategies, you will definitely see improvements in your traffic and revenue. Implementing these strategies can be complex and time-consuming. It can even take you away from the core of your business, so it is a good idea to take the services of a content writer.

Increase Your Business With Google Analytics
Google Analytics is an incredible tool. With Google Analytics, you can decide exactly what you want to measure on your site. This tool is easy to personalize and get working for you exactly the way that you want.
This is a tool which puts you in control; letting you decide on the specific goals and objectives of the measurements you want from the system. If you only need to know who your visitors are and how they found you, Google Analytics can certainly do that. But the real value of this tool is that you can define whatever filters will best help to analyze the traffic going to your site.
What does all of this mean for you? Let's have a more in depth look to give you a better understanding of how exactly Google Analytics works for you. Google allows you to set all of the specific objectives to pinpoint what you are trying to do in many aspects of website management.
Objective: The big picture - what do you want from the visitors to your site? What is your site's purpose; and how can you work with your visitors to achieve that purpose?
If your site is an e-commerce site the answer is simple - you want to sell things and make a profit. However, you will want to know what is selling (and what isn't) to determine what you should sell more of and what it may be better to remove from your catalogue.
This would be an objective.
Goals: Objectives are the long term aspirations for your site, goals are short term ones. What do you need to do to hit your goal? Do you need to track visitors who enter from a certain page? Or is your goal to sell more of a particular item within a set time frame?
This is possible using Google Analytics. You can set these goals from within the application itself.
Specifics: Knowing your objectives and goals prepares you to really use the full power of Google Analytics. Specifics are the steps you need to take to make your goals and objectives a reality.
For instance, you can set up your dales page and a funnel (using Google Analytics for the funnel) to evaluate where traffic is coming to your site from. Google will be able to tell you where visitors enter and exit your site. This will give you an understanding of how people interact with your site and the kinds of responses your site tends to elicit in visitors. This in turn gives you the starting point you need to go to your pages and fine tune them in order to further your progress towards your goals.
Google has made it easy to set up. They'll do the initial metrics and it's all free!
You'll need to add a little code to your webpages; if you aren't tech savvy you can have your webmaster or an IT staffer take care of this part. As soon as the code is placed, Google Analytics will begin collecting stats - in a matter of days, you'll be able to look at all manner of statistics about your site.
Once you're comfortable with the user interface, you can set the goals and specifics for your site. You can access all of this data online; setting your parameters at any time you want.
One of the other many useful features of Google Analytics is the ability to set different sections or "profiles" of your site and watch them independently of others, which heps you to fine tune your site.
